webtv gives you a way to get rid of the html stuff. do that. then log
in again every now and then over a period of several weeks -- just
read, don't react -- and you'll get a good idea of how this newsgroup
works. If what you'd like is recipes and food conversation, this is a
good place. But don't look for clearly defined limits on what folks
talk about, any more than you would try to censor all the conversations
going on over breakfast at your local Dennys.
