Actually the majority of citrus used for juice in the US are grown in
Central America. They are shipped to Florida for processing... if you
read OJ containers the vast majority say "Florida
Squeezed/Processed"... not Florida grown. Most of Florida's citrus
crop, like California's, is eating citrus, including grapefruit, and
the various specialty oranges ie. tangerines in all their varieties,
and lemons and limes, etc. Didja know that frozen concentrate OJ
contains the most vitamin C... whole stupidmarket citrus contains the
least vitamin C... citrus loses 50% of its vitamin C within 24 hours of
harvest.
