Yikes, 500 new recipes! I, too, have the old version, and I enjoy it (the
pancakes are really good, as is the Latin spice rub for flank
steak/fajitas). I don't always find the recipes to be the "best", but I do
glean some good tips.

CI does have some other books that are different; some are in the same
format as the Best Recipe. Have you seen them? I can't remember whether
they are *totally* different, or whether there are some overlaps w/ The Best
Recipe,...I now wonder whether they've folded recipes from the opther books
into the New Best Recipe.

Anyway, if you look up the New Best Recipe Book on Amazon, click on the link
for the Editors of Cook's Illustrated...you'll get a list of their other
books. I've found some of the older ones in my public library. Need to go
back and find that jambalaya recipe again...
