Besides which you can always goose it up...add a can of tomatoes, fresh
garlic, veg, olio, herbs, etc. You could also use it as pizza sauce in a
pinch...

I buy the cheapo bottled sauces on sale (sometimes a jar is 89 cents) and do
this, it turns out pretty okay...I might not serve it to company (I'll make
my own from scratch), but it's fine for me.

The OP is wasting his time returning the jars, it would probably take more
in time and effort to return two jars of Ragu than the sauce is worth...
