We have a garbage disposal -- we are in the country, have well-water (500'
deep) and a septic system (and a propane tank).
I don't find much of a need for a garbage disposal, as I would rather
dispose of it myself to save overload on the septic tank. We take our trash
to the sanitary dump about a mile away, but use to recycle it for the
garden.
