Because (at least around here) Lowes says that *THEY* (Lowes) will
honor/stand behind/service the warrantee of any of the products that
they sell. That would be *Lifetime*! Would you want to wait (however
long) for a warantee to be sorted out by the manufacturer on *your*
kitchen faucet? That is precisely why Lowes (and others) are offering
to honor the warantee of the products that they sell.
What good is this warantee if I'd have to wait even the time to ship
the old faucet back and them to ship out the new one (even with no
delays) without the use of my kitchen sink?
