The kitchen sink isn't the only source of water in most homes. When I was
without electricity for a week I was washing stuff on the back patio using
the hose. In years gone by, it was buckets of water hauled up from a creek.
As long as the water isn't dirty, what difference does it make which faucet
it comes from?
Granted, I wouldn't want to do this on a daily basis but it's been known to
happen
