I actually noticed some at a local chocolate store. The proprietor said
that he'd been shipped some by mistake (presumably from eChocolates,
since he said it was from his Cluizel distributor), and he decided to
just put it out and sell it rather than try to ship it back.
The package has just this to say about the company:
Marquise de Sevigne
32, Place de la Madeleine - 75008 PARIS
www.marquise-de-sevigne.com
As for the chocolate itself (a plain 70% bar): decent snap, nutty
caramel aroma, average smoothness with an occasional bit of grit. The
flavor is straightforward - somewhat sweet for a 70%, starts off mild
with a hint of orange, but mostly just plain ol' chocolate. Overall,
I'd say it's a good premium-level chocolate bar, and I wouldn't turn it
down if it were offered to me, but it's nothing to write home about.
