Back in college, I spent $10-$15 per week feeding myself. Lots of pasta and
rice, veggies, some frozen meat and seafood. I don't recall buying a single
package of fresh meat during all 4 years.

After I got a real job, I started spending around $200 per week (for just
myself). This included a lot of restaurant meals, a lot of prepared foods,
and booze. I gained weight and had mood swings.

Now that I'm over that hump, I'm spending around $40-$50 for fresh meats,
seafood and organic veggies. I'm spending much less and eating much better.
