Powder Biscuits
Ingredients:
1 pound (2 cups) self rising flour
pinch of nutmeg
1 cup margarine and lard mixed
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2/3 cup currants
Preparation:
Rub the fat into the flour and nutmeg, add the sugar. Mix to a pliable
dough with the eggs and currants. Roll out until half an inch thick
and cut with a pastry cutter. Bake in a moderate oven, 180 degrees C
(350 degrees F) for 15 to 20 minutes.
