At the time, I used the plates from the frozen dinners. Now I have
some 2-cup glass containers I got at Crate&Barrel, or pyrex that have
plastic freezer to microwave covers.

Check the dollar stores for microwave platters with covers. But I
found that adding a tight layer of plastic wrap under the cover,
removed before nuking, helped avoid freezer burn.
