Yep. I used to watch him to, and he managed to keep my interest in cooking
kindled as I entered my 30s (before that, my inspiration was Julia Child and
the pre-Christian perpetually shloshed Graham Kerr). I could live without
dishes like fiddle head ferns, but I was always energized by Smith's
performance.
Oh well. This gives a new perspective to his pleas for viewers to bring the
kids into the kitchen, doesn't it.
