As a Mexican should take offense but I don't. I can only be offended by so
many things at once. And today it has to be the foul statements coming from
the pea-brains of Europeans on another forum in which I also participate.
Their wrath and hatred of Americans in the face of the Hurricane Katrina's
devastation makes Sheldon's statement look almost kind by comparison.

They are saying almost in unison that the Americans have themselves to blame
for this hurricane for failure to stop global warming and for not signing
the Kyoto Protocol. Some are saying they hope Katrina leaves thousands of
orphans. And not one Euro shoud be sent for relief. And that they wish
there will be many more major big hurricanes to teach the US a good lesson.
They are using the public statement from Germany's minister of environment
in reference to Hurricane Katrina as the pretext for this outpouring of
anti-American venom.

This is the same level of abject ignorance, prejudice and hatred of
Americans that I would expect to be coming from the madrassas. But instead
it is coming from Western Europeans. And aren't they the ones who have have
run their own countries so well that they have 2-3 times the rate of
unemployment in the US?
