As a bit of a follow-up I have no cartilage in one knee and about 1/2 in the
other. I used to eat anti-inflammatories like candy and could not stay asleep
at night. I would turn over and the pain would wake me up. About 3 or 4 years
ago my internist put me on 1500 & 1200 per day and then doubled the dosage.
After about 6 months I noticed that had a lot less pain doing the normal
things. I had been told by my orthopedic surgeon that I would have to have my
knees replaced. It may get worse I don't know but today I don't need the
surgery.
(well maybe a lobotomy) LOL
