2 eggs
1 C sugar
2 T veggie oil
1C milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp nutmeg
3 tsp baking powder
31/2-4 C flour
Cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar for dusting
Wisk the eggs and sugar. Wisk in the next 6 ingredients. Add the flour
one cup at a time, until you get to 3 cups. Then add it 1/4 cup at a
time. The dough consistency should be about the same as pizza dough.
Roll out on a floured surface. Cut with a floured doughnut cutter. Fry
in 375 degree veggie shortening until golden, flipping once. While
they arestill warm, sprinkle them with cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar,
or leave 'em plain.
These are really, really good with coffee.
