I thought you needed to know that when an American says use
"oatmeal" - rolled oats are implied (not steel cut).

There are several types of rolled oats available: Old Fashioned (5
minute cooking time), Quick (1 minute cooking time) and instant. I
find that either the 5 minute or 1 minute type can be used
interchangeably in most cookie recipes and recipes similar to the
above without a problem.
