It wouldn't get that smell if they put it in brown bottles, or at least
were careful to never let the sun hit the clear bottles, even briefly.
Sunlight (or lengthy exposure to fluorescent light) reacts with the hops
to make that skunkiness. That's why most beer comes in dark brown
bottles.

Green glass bottles are cheaper to make and look prettier, but not as
effective as brown.
