Perhaps if they were cooking in a dormatory room on a hot plate this was
their approximation of "homemade" cooked with limited facilities. Or
perhaps their parents cooked this way (wouldn't surprise me). I wouldn't
eat this. I do, on occasion, use canned soups and dried soup mixes for
cooking, but nothing to this extent!
