Dinner tonight
Tonight for dessert I had Mary Ann Espisito's recipe for date bars. I
decided it was time to get rid of the Medjool dates in my frig. Instead of
using English Walnuts, I used Almonds. They were darned good (with a glass
of red wine).
Dinner was a store-bought ciabatta with ham and turkey and some leaf
spinach.
We spent a considerable amount of time before eating slicing and food-saving
a baked breast of turkey and a really-good ham. The dregs (small pieces)
were used on the sandwiches, with some dregs left over for tomorrow for ham
and eggs for breakfast and turkey soup later in the day. The rest went into
the freezer in the food-saver vacuumed bags.
