My mother loved to cook and was quite accomplished. My dad "thought" he
could cook, but we would rarely eat his efforts. :-) My parents' kitchen was
reasonably well outfitted with all the basics, but not especially with more
specialized items. Mom was especially proud of her birdseye maple rolling
pin, which I now have.
