Default Food-TV kitchens. Dammit.

It's more to do with being able to see the cook and what he or she is
doing than convience. DD has a kitchen with a large island with plenty
of space around it. I like it but could never have one in our kitchen
without adding onto the house. My kitchen is kitchen only, not an
eat-in kitchen.
