Hello,
New here, so hope you don't mind my 1st post.

My parents, live in Melbourne, and have always had a butter dish on
the table. Various versions - metal, ceramic etc. and NEVER
refrigerate except in the hottest of summers.

I've survived growing up on "warm butter" for want of a better term,
and they are still growing strong at 80+.

Having said that, my own family use margarine and butter (cooking
only) which are kept in the refrigerator.

Cheers

Steve
