Simple. All those who showed hostility--and many of us who didn't
comment at all--have seen a lot of posts similar to your "Rave" post:
Someone unknown or basically so, in the group (you aren't exactly
well-known in rfc) posting about a commercial product/service,
frequently adding some tidbit that's on-topic for said group.

Generally when such posts appear, one can find many very similar ones
from the same semi-spammer. It appears (given what I saw at Google
Groups yesterday) that you merely misstepped. But--given that
Desperate Housewives and OneSuite are both off-topic for rfc, why post
your 'Rave' here?
