Default Cranberry wine not fermenting....help!!!

Hi, I don't have anything to measure PH, and followed a recipe which
suggested adding just 1 tsp of acid per gallon when used with the right
amount of fruit. I've been rusty when doing the acid test kit but
should try to do that tomorrow morning and see. But PH, i have no
idea. Carbonate? to lower the acid? alas, I don't have any of
that...@#$%^.
