Microwave without Carousel?

GE's version 'stirs' the microwaves as generated within the magnetron
(similar to how medical x-rays are 'homogenized' by the rotating
anode), that's how my 25 year old GE works . Since I haven't had to
buy a new microwave oven in all these years I haven't looked into if GE
still uses the same technology I would never want a microwave oven
with the carosel, what a waste of space.
