Yesterday I did nothing much - went to a party. I had made Christmas cake
weeks before so the cooking effort was minimal - I haven't felt well
lately.

Today at church coffee hour I saw the cranberry-orange bread and
peppermint bark I dropped off on Christmas eve after the Dec 23 cooking
frenzy. The bread has held up pretty well wrapped and did not taste like
it had been sitting around for a week.

(recipe for Orange-Nut bread on my blog sidebar , no nuts, half a bag of
cranberries chopped up in the FP per loaf ... although I think it would
be better with nuts I left them out for public consumption.)

Today I will be cooking lentil soup - since I have some slab bacon
around, I'm probably going to use it in the soup instead of doing my
regular curried lentil - and starting to make lemon curd out of
all the Meyer lemons I got given by Miss Tammy. It's wet and windy, so I
don't want to go out AT ALL. Relaxed puttering is the order of the day.
