Yeah, with professional grade equipment. Alas, I've two friends in whose
kitchen I HATE to cook, because they have gas tops. If there's the slightest
breeze outside you have to close the windows, because you can no longer get the
water to boil on their stove. At another friend's place the crossdraft blows
the gas flame out alltogether. Sheesh. Gutless. I think I've lived in _one_
flat where I found the gas stove acceptable.
While I don't normally suffer from Asthma, the exhaust of a (town supply)gas
oven can do it to me. Another baaad point (and the reason why I want to keep
that window open, please).
About the only thing I can say in favour is that with a gas top you can still
cook after the powerlines have been blown down by a storm.
But of course, as most things, it's a ymmv thing
