Fussy Eaters
On Sat, 14 Jan 2006 17:58:56 GMT,
(S'mee) connected the dots and wrote:
~I was checking out Gloria's Sweet & Sour Cocktail Meatball recipe
~(which sounds excellent, btw; my sibling makes something very
similar).
~Anyway, I figured I wouldn't bother to save the recipe because Miguel
~(DH) doesn't like meatballs of any kind. Or white sauce. Or coconut.
~Or most sandwiches. *Sigh*

~Now I'm sure at least 10 people are queuing up to tell me I should
~make him eat it anyway, because they certainly wouldn't put up with
~that. But I'm more interested in knowing what kind of fussiness
~the rest of you may have to deal with...
DH is the one who eats just about anything. DD & I have
"preferences." <g> Neither of us will eat meat or poultry outside the
house, me for religious reasons, her for vegetarian. She will eat
various fishes and some poultry at home. It used to be worse, where
she was required to try about a tablespoon-sized portion of each food
on the table, and then could have more if she liked it. She does eat
a wide range of foods from all food groups, so I don't get too het-up
about it when she says no thanks to more than the minimum.
I do keep recipes that are not in favor at the moment--there's always
some potluck or another coming up that I can make it for.
