What I would suggest IS to research what you're putting into your
grocery carts and mouthes and stop buying half the crap that you buy.
Bulk foods? The germs alone turn my stomach when I watch parents let
their kids run around opening the lids and stikcing their hands in
them.
Education is a choice. Read through studies, both governmental studies
and independent studies. Read who funded the studies. If a study
talks about how important milk is and how it "does a body good" and is
funded by the American Dairy Council...well DUH. It's easy to blame
the FDA but the bottom line is to take personal responsiblity and do
the research yourself. When my son was born almost 28 years ago, I
decided that there was no way I was going to raise him on a
conventional diet. I did my homework during my pregnancyand have
tweaked my diet since then....not having anything to do with the FDA!
Hey, 3o years ago, I was lobbying for banning cigarettes. In the state
where I live, they just "got it" and have banned smoking in
restaurants. It took 20 years to figure that one out???Gosh, it's
frustrating. The FDA still says that pesticides are fine.
The easiest path to travel is the one that listens to and doesn't
challenge what is fed to us through the media. The fast food
commercials, the commercials for a plethora of unhealthy foods, sugar
laden snacks...oh the long list goes on. Oh gosh, do need to stop
this; I said that I no longer get on soapboxes. I really don't...I
just get so frustrated with the freakin gov't. acting like they care.
I have not one ounce of a scientific brain or mind and I could figure
this all out on my own. The FDA has highly intelligent folks working
there, doing all kinds of testing, etc. And I realized this stuff
decades ago? What's wrong with this picture?
