Understand the approach with a small dog or cat should be the same as
for a baby. Very gentle, small breaths. Hellish when something happens
to your pet & glad Nellie is hanging in there. A call to the local
emergency vet might still be a good idea - if she's having breathing
issues, she may benefit from a night on oxygen or need special care -
especially since you said she's an older girl.
