I do a much simpler version.

Maraschino Cherries
Powdered Sugar
Nestles Tollhouse Morsels

Melt Tollhouse morsels in a pyrex measuring cup by microwaving in 30
second bursts.

Pour cherries into a colander to drain. Save the syrup for adding to
coffee, coke or lemonade, if you're into that.

Dip cherries into powdered sugar, tap off excess, then dip into melted
chocolate, using a fork to submerge, if necessary. Set cherries on
waxed paper and move to a cool dry, dog- and kid-proof location to harden.
