Dunno much about fufu either, Rhonda, but the pap (mielie meal) we get
here just has maize in it... Mielie is just a local word for maize.. We
also cook them on the cob - then they call them "green mielies"! All
these names and terms for food around the world can be fascinating, but
can be a bit confusing too!
