I would suggest that they are the ones who made it look like there were sides. It was
originally directed at Denmark, not at the newspaper who ran the cartoons, but the
whole country. The protest spread from Denmark across Europe, Asia and Africa. There
have been peaceful demonstrations in North America. While it was primarily against
Denmark, the attacks broadened to other western countries.

Because he should be able to get back to his people and let them know that when they
do things like that it affects him.
