Why is it sad to eat it? I'm asking in seriousness.

Rabbit is a food animal, it is tasty, and this one is vermin in
Patch's yard. It's been there for some time, and there is no reason,
IMO, that eating it would be wrong. Our chickens are cute, and you can
bet we treat them well, and pet them, but when there are extra roosters,
a mean one that picks on the others or our kids, or a hen that isn't
laying, you can also bet that we eat them.
