I agree. I tried maple sausage and bacon.

Once only. :-p

Dipping sausage or bacon in the remains of the butter and syrup from
pancakes is one thing. Having it mixed in with them is just gross for
some reason.

Probably because it's a fake ester "flavoring" and not the real thing.
