It should have been defrosted, perhaps your fridge is a tad too cold.
You can speed up thawing by placing the entire turkey, in the bag, in a
sinkful of cold water, then change the water like every half hour.

If you go to the web site printed on the plastic bag, or any turkey
brand web site, you will find safe handling instructions.
