Well you gave me a good laugh tonite as I did live in California during
the mid 1970's with my ex b/f who was employed by a company that
required a lot of on the road traveling and moving.

San Francisco/Sunnyvale/ El Cajun/San Diego/Mission Beach plus one nite
each in San Jose/Sacramento/LaJolla.

I observed more hostilities towards the illegals from californians than
the period we lived in the deep part of Georgia with the good ole boys.

That election year- jimmy carter- two proposals were on the ballot to
increase phone rates to add spanish speaking operators & to bring up the
living standards of the camps for the migrant workers at tax payers
expense -both failed-.

I have kept in contact with a couple of friends who still live out their
and have to say your attitude is not shared with the majority of
californians and as much as I loved the state missing walking @ nite on
the beach watching the sun set & collecting sea shells when the tide was
out I wouldn't move back with the problem of illegals that has only
gotten worst.
