Very weird. I certainly would not got there and I speak English.
OTOH there used to be a market stall in the Ottawa Byward market whose
owner had his signs in English, French, Spanish, and Japanese though
I'm pretty sure that he only spoke English and French. But there were
lots of Japanese and Spanish speaking tourists in town and he sold
maple syrup which makes a handy souvenir/gift for back home.
