Default Barbeque


Well I finally did it. I haven't used our old bbq for more than 3
years. It's sat lonely and decrepit in the back corner of our yard. I
dragged it out today cleaned it up, and dh got it running. Probably
needs a new burner and definitely needs new lava rock. That said, I
made some packet foods tonight and they turned out really nice. In the
past, before I started to try new recipes, all I ever did with it was to
cook the meat entre. Today, I sliced some new white potatoes, a small
vidalia onion, drizzled some s&p, garlic granules and evoo. Same with
some asparagus, only I blanched it briefly first. Only problem I had
was that the bottom was a little overdone.

We haven't turned on the a/c yet, and this will help postpone that
event...lol. I'm looking forward to trying some slow roasting and I
have a couple of pork tenderloin in the freezer. Can't wait.....Sharon
