You may need to clean the curtains and other cloth items in the house
(including the cushions and such on the chairs and sofa). If they can
cope with water, a dilute spray of water and vinegar might help. Spray
on, wipe off.
For the pan, fill it with water to the top of the charred area, and add
a dryer softener sheet. leave overnight and wash in the morning.
