The farmers here set prices as to what they have to get to earn a living.
Some are higher, some are lower, but the quality is far superior so I pay
what they ask. Tomatoes are $3 a pound. Strawberries were $4.50 a quart.
Potatoes are about a dollar IIRC. A few of the farmers have not been in a
supermarket for a few years and have no clue what they charge, nor do they
care.
