Believe the last time I made it I cut the amount of bay leaves down to four.
However, it is a large recipe calling for 4 lbs. of ground chuck so using
six may not be overpowering. Just don't leave out the cinnamon and
allspice! Now that would be a rule <g>. Since it is a large recipe I feel
it could be easily cut in half.
