Plum jam and plum sauce
Using my new Ball Home canning book I put up 6 12 ounce jars of plum jam
this morning. Later today I will "jar" up some plum sauce from the same
book. Had to go to the store and get a hand of ginger for that.
Local market had small California red and black plums on sale for ten
for a dollar. Ending up buying 80 of them, most for jam and sauce but
many for eating. !@#$%^ squirrels got every plum, peach, persimmon, and
most of the pears before any of them could ripen. Why can't they just
eat the hot peppers, I've got plenty of those.
