This is my mom's and it's really good:

Apple Crisp

Peel, core and slice 1 1/2 qt. apples, preferably a baking type like
Jonathons or Granny Smith. Place in a buttered 8" or 9" square pan and
sprinkle with 1/2 to 1 C. sugar, depending on sweetness of apples.

Mix: 1 C. flour 1/2 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. soft/melted butter Dash of salt
1/2 C. white sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 C. oatmeal Dash of nutmeg

Spread evenly over the top of the apples and press down slightly with
your hand or back of a spoon. Bake at 350 deg. F. for 30 minutes.
Cool slightly on rack; serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
