That's actually his kitchen. If you look closely, there's a foosball table
at the end of the cooking island
Notice he only needs 2 burners? So much for folks who have to have 6 burner
stoves and a partridge in a pear tree

Of course you can't make do with
that in a restaurant kitchen, but I would like a home kitchen like his. It
looks very chef-friendly. He also likes simple foods without a gazillion
ingredients yet just looking at them once plated makes you think
"complicated" and you want to taste it. I don't care how much he cusses on
his television shows, I'd like to eat at one of his restaurants one day. If
they maintain his exacting standards it's bound to be a very good meal!
