Default RECIPE: SAUSAGE QUICHE

I like this easy-to-make quiche recipe very much and make it a few times a
year.

SAUSAGE QUICHE

Set Oven to 350 degrees

One deep dish pie crust unbaked
1 - 4 ounce can of green chilies ( or chopped pepperonci)
1/2 to 1 pound of Jimmy Dean frozen sausage thawed and cooked scrambled or
just use brown and serve sausages browned and cut up
4 eggs lightly beaten
1 cup of half and half , or milk
1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Brush the bottom of a pie crust with egg white. I use part of one of the
eggwhites that I am adding to the quiche.

Line the bottom of the pie crust with a few chopped up pepperonce or
chilies. These are hot tasting, so be careful how many you use, but I think
they are definitely necessary.

Spread cooked sausage on top of peppers or chilies

Pour the combined eggs, cheeses, and half and half or milk and salt and
pepper on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes or until quiche is set and
browned.

Let sit five minutes as it will be hot, then cut.

This can also be prepared the night before; refrigerate uncooked and
bake in the morning, although I have never tried doing that.

It can be reheated for lunch by cutting one piece and heating it in the
microwave for one minute per piece
