I paid ~800 for an Asko model D3122 dishwasher.

It has a stainless steel tub and nylon racks. It is also very quiet and
uses much less hot water than the 25 year old dishwasher it replaced. It
does an excellent job of cleaning and holds more dishes than we
typically can do without, so it gets run 3/4s full quite often.

The unit I bought has an extra tall tub and will not fit under some
counters.

I highly recommend this product.
