Homemade. I follow Alton Brown's recipe, shown at
http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/reci..._16262,00.html. However,
I usually use champagne vinegar (as he actually recommends on the show)
rather than white wine vinegar. It's really not all that much trouble to
make, and I think the results are definitely worth the effort.

I like to customize both potato salad and macaroni salad to go along with
whatever else is being served. That may or may not include modifying the
mayonnaise recipe.
