He does not "run this country" in the sense of being directly in charge
of all the details, but in a very real sense he does. Only the Pres can
order troops overseas. Perhaps more important, Bush has been responsible
- intentionally or not - for appointing the most astounding gaggle of
incompetent boobies and crooks to hundreds of positions of real
responsibility. The country and the world has suffered terribly for it.
We are less secure than before, 2500+ troops are dead and many more
crippled for life, the debt is horrible, civil liberties are eroded, the
rich and corporations rake in billions while the poor and middle class
slip downward, and our standing in the world community is at an all time
low. And there are still some morons who support this administration.
