Default TN: Terrazas de los Andes - 01 Cheval des Andes

Got this one as a gift - and put it away - what a mistake! Opened it
last week as "emergency kit" for an unplanned dinner with friend of
mine. This Malbec, Cab and Petit Verdot cuvee has blown us away! Very
dark, overripe cherries optic. The nose is astoundingly complex:
vanilla, mint, tobacco, apricot jam, violet, maybe some herbs... The
palate is very good and exciting balance between chocolate, roasted
almonds, morello cherry, fennel, even cloves and cumin.
Finish was certainly dominated by ribes/currant.
It was accompanying grilled tuna steaks with truffle-polenta and
radicchio rosso salad very well. Maybe because of very thick and sweet
old balsamico used for the salad.
